The pre-premiere of "Big Eyes"

On January 14, we visited the pre-premiere of the movie «Big Eyes». It is biographical comedy-drama film directed by Tim Burton, and starring Amy Adams and Christoph Waltz.

The film narrates on American artist Margaret Keane, whose works were fraudulent means claimed in the 1950s and 1960s by her then-husband, Walter Keane, and delves into the story of their heated divorce trial wherein Margaret accused Walter of stealing her paintings. At the time, even in such «modern» state as the United States, women are not allowed to self-realization, they simply did not take seriously. This time Tim Burton withdrew from the favorite «dark» style, the movie is filled with bright colors and the real problems of people, however, and here you can see something unreal, such as hallucinations of the artist.

14 января мы посетили предпремьерный показ фильма «Большие глаза». Это биографическая драма режиссера Тима Бёртона, в главных ролях Эми Адамс и Кристоф Вальц. Фильм повествует об американской художнице Маргарет Кин, чьи работы, обманным путем, выдавал за свои ее тогдашний муж, Уолтер Кин. Все происходит в 50-х и 60-х годах прошлого столетия. В то время даже в таком «продвинутом» государстве как США, женщинам не давали самореализовываться, их просто не воспринимали в серьез. В этот раз Тим Бёртон отошел от излюбленного «мрачного» стиля, картина наполнена яркими красками и реальными проблемами людей, однако, и здесь можно увидеть что-то нереальное, например, галлюцинации художницы.
