From October 29 to 31, 2026, Almaty became a vibrant meeting point for fashion, creativity and international talent as Visa Fashion Week Almaty Spring/Summer 2027 took over the Atakent exhibition venue. Three days of spectacular runway shows, striking street style, international guests and an impressive level of organization once again demonstrated the growing influence of Kazakhstan on the global fashion scene. This season, fashion was everywhere — not only on the runway but also beyond it, where guests transformed the venue into a spectacular display of personal style.

На площадке «Атакент» прошла международная Неделя моды Visa Fashion Week Almaty сезона Spring/Summer 2027. Три дня эффектных показов, невероятного стритстайла, зарубежных гостей и впечатляющего уровня организации вновь продемонстрировали растущее влияние Казахстана на международной модной сцене. The theme of the new season, Beyond Horizon, invited designers and audiences to look beyond familiar boundaries and explore new creative possibilities. Inspired by the eternal cycle of sunrises and sunsets, the concept celebrated movement, transformation and the limitless potential of artistic expression. The circular runway design became a visual reflection of this philosophy, creating an unusual and immersive fashion experience.

One of the most exciting highlights of Visa Fashion Week Almaty was undoubtedly its extraordinary street style. Bold silhouettes, unexpected combinations, statement accessories, dramatic shapes and daring experiments with color turned the venue into a fashion spectacle of its own. Guests approached their looks with remarkable creativity, proving that fashion is not simply about following trends but about expressing individuality. At times, the outfits outside the runway were just as captivating as the designer collections themselves.

International street style photographers also arrived in Almaty to capture the most memorable fashion moments. Among them were Acielle, founder of the renowned Style Du Monde project and a regular Vogue contributor, as well as photographers Raimonda, Francesca Babbi and Goldie Williams Vericain. Their presence highlighted the increasing international visibility of Almaty's fashion community and the distinctive style emerging from Central Asia.

Three Days, Three Chapters of Fashion

The runway program brought together designers from Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Armenia, Romania, Hungary, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia and Uzbekistan, offering audiences a diverse perspective on contemporary fashion. The opening day featured collections by Studio 4353, Santa Brands, 29, Themis, MADUMAROVA and Zherebtsov. From experimental silhouettes to expressive interpretations of modern femininity, the first day set an energetic tone for the entire event.

Экспериментальные силуэты, выразительные дизайнерские решения и новые интерпретации современной женственности задали динамичное настроение всему мероприятию.

The second day continued with presentations by MILAR X TOSI, Nodira, Ami Amalia, RUFAYDAS and Titre trois. Particularly noteworthy was the participation of Romanian brand Ami Amalia, presented through the new partnership with Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week. The runway also welcomed emerging designers from the Next Designer Award empowered by Visa, highlighting the importance of nurturing the next generation of fashion talent.

The final day brought another impressive lineup: Arnayi Sagan, Kata Szegedi, Sonun, ALTYRA, Tiko and Azamat Somatov. Hungarian label Kata Szegedi participated through the ongoing collaboration with Budapest Central European Fashion Week, further strengthening the dialogue between European and Central Asian fashion industries. The closing shows provided a fitting conclusion to three days of creative energy and international exchange.

Заключительный день представил не менее интересную программу: Arnayi Sagan, Kata Szegedi, Sonun, ALTYRA, Tiko и Azamat Somatov. Visa Fashion Week Almaty continues to strengthen its position as an international fashion platform, attracting not only designers but also influential fashion editors, industry experts and photographers. Among this season's invited guests were Valentina Abate from Vogue Italia, Petar Trbović from Vogue Adria, Sabrina Karasová from Vogue CS and Paris-based fashion consultant Marina Lyritzi, former Head of Buyer Relations at TRANOÏ. Their participation reflects the growing interest of the international fashion community in the creative potential of Central Asia.

Alongside its continued collaboration with Budapest Central European Fashion Week, VFWA announced new connections with Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week and Yerevan Fashion Week. These initiatives create valuable opportunities for designers to reach new audiences, enter international markets and establish professional relationships beyond their home countries.

Ещё одним важным направлением сезона стало развитие международных партнёрств. Помимо продолжающегося сотрудничества с Budapest Central European Fashion Week, VFWA представила новые связи с Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week и Yerevan Fashion Week. An essential part of Visa Fashion Week Almaty's mission is supporting emerging designers through the Next Designer Award empowered by Visa. Launched in 2023, the initiative has evolved into a regional platform connecting young creatives with industry professionals and business opportunities. This season marked an important milestone as the competition's final took place in Tashkent for the first time, in partnership with the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation.

Запущенная в 2023 году инициатива превратилась в региональную платформу, объединяющую начинающих авторов с профессионалами индустрии и открывающую перед ними новые деловые перспективы. В этом сезоне произошло знаковое событие: финал конкурса впервые состоялся в Ташкенте при поддержке Фонда развития культуры и искусства Узбекистана.

The winner, Nodira Dadajonova, received a $10,000 grant from Visa and the opportunity to present her collection on the VFWA runway. Other finalists, including Aibiyke Madumarova of MADUMAROVA, Aiker Shalekenova of ALTYRA and Rufayda Sotvoldieva of RUFAYDAS, also became part of the fashion week program. Their participation demonstrated how important it is to give emerging talent access to professional platforms and international exposure.

From the extraordinary street style to the collections on the runway, from emerging designers to established industry experts, the event celebrated creativity in all its forms. And perhaps this is the true meaning of Beyond Horizon: fashion has no fixed boundaries, and the most exciting discoveries are always waiting just beyond the horizon.
