Historical drama "Constantinople" will be the opening series of the "Pilot" festival

The main roles in the project were played by Alexander Ustyugov, Oksana Akinshina, Kirill Kyaro, Vyacheslav Chepurchenko and Sergey Marin.

The historical film "Constantinople" (previously known as "Outcasts") is based on the events of the early 20s of the 20th century. The viewer will see what dangers Russian emigrants were exposed to in Constantinople and how they tried to survive among their fellow countrymen refugees. Left without a livelihood, they were forced to engage in a deadly battle with the city, local gangs and even with each other.

В основу исторической картины «Константинополь» (ранее известной под названием  «Изгои») легли события начала 20-х годов XX века. Зритель увидит, какой опасности подвергались русские эмигранты в Константинополе и как пытались выжить среди беженцев-соотечественников. Оставшись без средств к существованию, они были вынуждены вступить в смертельную схватку с городом, местными бандами и даже друг с другом.

The "Constantinople" project will be the opening series of the seventh "Pilot" festival, which will be held in Ivanovo in June 2025.

Проект «Константинополь» станет сериалом открытия седьмого фестиваля «Пилот», который пройдет в Иваново в июне 2025 года. 

The scriptwriters were Alexey Mizgirev, Anastasia Maksimova and Vladlen Maksimov. The producers of the project are Timur Weinstein and Yulia Sumacheva, the director's chair is occupied by Sergey Chekalov. The production of the series is carried out by the company "Vait Media" by order of NTV and the online cinema Ivi. The project is created with the support of the Institute for Internet Development (ANO "IRI").

Авторами сценария выступили Алексей Мизгирев, Анастасия Максимова и Владлен Максимов. Продюсируют проект Тимур Вайнштейн и Юлия Сумачева, кресло режиссера-постановщика занял Сергей Чекалов. Производством сериала занимается компания «ВайТ Медиа» по заказу НТВ и онлайн-кинотеатра Иви. Проект создается при поддержке Института развития интернета (АНО «ИРИ»).

The filming of the series took place in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Vyborg and Baku. The streets of the Azerbaijani capital became the scenery for the events taking place in Constantinople. Historical and military consultants worked on the set. 

Съемки сериала прошли в Москве, Санкт-Петербурге, Выборге и Баку. Улицы азербайджанской столицы стали декорациями для событий, происходящих в Константинополе. На площадке работали исторические и военные консультанты.

After their defeat in the Civil War, the Whites flee the country, saving their lives. Among the refugees is our main character, Sergei Neratov, a broken colonel who lost not only his army but also his wife and children in the war. 

После поражения в Гражданской войне белые бегут из страны, спасая свои жизни. Среди беженцев и наш главный герой – Сергей Нератов – сломленный полковник, потерявший на войне не только армию, но и жену с детьми.

Arriving in Constantinople, the principled officer encounters a completely alien and often hostile world, like hundreds of other refugees. In order to defend the right of his compatriots to a decent life from the Turkish government and the occupation authorities of the Entente, Neratov has to confront first local bandits, and then the entire occupation authorities of the city.

Прибыв в Константинополь, принципиальный офицер сталкивается с совершенно чуждым и часто враждебным ему миром, как и сотни других беженцев. Чтобы отстоять у турецкого правительства и оккупационных властей Антанты право соотечественников на достойную жизнь, Нератову приходится противостоять сначала местным бандитам, а потом и всей оккупационной власти города.
