On September 21 at 7:00 p.m., Almaty will host a special gastronomic dinner organised by Visit Dubai and the international restaurant ranking byChefs. The Moonrise team will travel to Kazakhstan, led by Solemann Haddad, one of the most exciting chefs of Dubai’s new generation. He will be joined by Ruslan Zakirov, Brand Chef of AUYL, to present a collaborative tasting menu.

21 сентября в 19:00 в Алматы состоится специальный гастрономический ужин, организованный Visit Dubai и международным ресторанным рейтингом byChefs. В Казахстан приедет команда Moonrise во главе с Солеманном Хаддадом, одним из самых ярких шеф-поваров нового поколения Дубая. Вместе с ним сет представит бренд-шеф AUYL Руслан Закиров.

The central idea of the evening is to reveal contemporary Dubai through gastronomy. The menu will feature some of Moonrise’s signature dishes, while Ruslan Zakirov will complement the experience with creations exploring the intersection of different cultures.

Solemann Haddad and Moonrise

Solemann Haddad is one of the most distinctive chefs shaping the new culinary identity of Dubai. Born and raised in Deira to a French mother and a Syrian father, he grew up surrounded by different cultures. For Haddad, cultural fusion is therefore not simply a culinary technique, but a natural part of his identity and creative language.

This multicultural background gave rise to Moonrise — a restaurant where the flavours of the Middle East, France and Japan come together. Haddad himself describes his culinary philosophy much more simply: it is the cuisine of Dubai.

His career has developed at remarkable speed. In 2022, Haddad was named Michelin Guide Young Chef of the Year and received the Gault & Millau Future Great award. He was later recognised by The Best Chef Awards, while Moonrise established itself as one of Dubai’s most notable chef-driven restaurants. In the 2026 byChefs ranking, Moonrise placed eighth.

Moonrise’s partner in Almaty will be Ruslan Zakirov, Brand Chef of AUYL and one of the prominent figures on Kazakhstan’s contemporary gastronomic scene. AUYL’s cuisine is rooted in the traditions of Central Asia and nomadic culture, reinterpreted through a modern culinary language.

Партнёром Moonrise в Алматы станет Руслан Закиров, бренд-шеф AUYL и один из наиболее заметных представителей современной гастрономической сцены Казахстана. В основе кухни AUYL лежат традиции Центральной Азии и культура кочевников, переосмысленные современным языком.

For this collaborative dinner, Zakirov will create his own part of the tasting menu, dedicated to Kazakhstan and the cultural intersections that have shaped the region. The result promises to be a gastronomic dialogue between Almaty and Dubai — two cities with distinct identities, brought together for one evening through contemporary cuisine.

Для совместного ужина Закиров подготовит собственную часть сета, посвящённую Казахстану и культурным пересечениям региона. Результатом станет гастрономический диалог между Алматы и Дубаем — двумя городами с яркой индивидуальностью, которые на один вечер объединит современная кухня.
