The tenth film festival «French cinema today»

On April 11, the «French cinema today» Film Festival will open in Almaty.

11 апреля в Алматы откроется кинофестиваль «Французское кино сегодня».

The opening of the festival, as well as the main shows will be held in the cinema center «Arman», which is the main venue of the festival, organized by the agency UniFrance and its partners - the French Embassy in Kazakhstan and the French Alliance in Almaty.

Открытие фестиваля, а также основные показы пройдут в киноцентре «Арман», являющемся главной площадкой фестиваля, организованного агентством UniFrance и его партнерами - посольством Франции в Казахстане и Французским Альянсом в Алматы.

«Dear friends, this is changing a lot in this life, but our festival has always, for the 10th time, started in April, too, - says Baurzhan Shukenov, director of the «Arman» cinema center. We traditionally try to show the latest innovations that are coming out in the rental, traditionally there will be a large short-meter program, and from the new one - an interesting lecture from Joel Shapron, vice-director of UniFrance about the history of Soviet cinema in France. I was lucky to listen to her in Sochi on one of the film markets. This is interesting, informative, creative, a lot of the most intriguing and unknown information about such a familiar and significant cinema in France! Waiting for you!».

«Дорогие, друзья, меняется в этой жизни, как видим, очень многое, но наш фестиваль неизменно, уже в 10-й раз, все также стартует в апреле, - говорит директор киноцентра «Арман» Бауржан Шукенов. Он очень непросто дается нам в этом году, тем долгожданнее встреча с вами, а мы вроде сделали все, чтобы вам было интересно. Мы традиционно постараемся показать самые свежие новинки, выходящие в прокат, традиционно будет большая программа короткого метра, а из нового - интереснейшая лекция от вице-директора компании UniFrance Жоэля Шапрона об истории советского кино во Франции. Мне посчастливилось послушать ее в Сочи на одном из кинорынков. Это интересно, познавательно, креативно, масса самой интригующей и неизвестной информации о таком знакомом и знаковом кино во Франции! Ждем Вас!».

The guest of honor of the festival will be Gerard Krawczyk- French director, actor, screenwriter who has worked on such films as «Taxi», «Fanfan la Tulipe», «Wasabi» and many others.

Почетным гостем фестиваля станет Жерар Кравчик - французский режиссер, актер, сценарист, работавший над такими фильмами, как «Такси», «Фанфан-тюльпан», «Васаби» и многими другими.
