On Thursday, June 29, 2023, Sri Lanka proudly showcased its globally acclaimed Ceylon tea brand at the International Tea Day celebration held at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris. Organized for the second consecutive year by the UNESCO Community Association and the Franco-Chinese Cultural and Artistic Exchange Centre, the event brought together tea enthusiasts, experts, and member countries of UNESCO to spotlight the cultural significance, health advantages, and economic opportunities associated with tea worldwide.

Шри-Ланка с гордостью представила свой всемирно известный бренд чая "Цейлон" на праздновании Международного дня чая в штаб-квартире ЮНЕСКО в Париже в четверг, 29 июня 2023 года. Международный день чая был организован Ассоциацией сообщества ЮНЕСКО и Франко-китайским центром культурного и художественного обмена уже второй год подряд, собрав чайных энтузиастов, экспертов и страны-члены ЮНЕСКО, демонстрируя культурные связи, пользу для здоровья и экономический потенциал чая по всему миру.

At the Sri Lanka booth, attendees were treated to a display of the country's rich tea heritage and cultural offerings, featuring an exquisite assortment of teas and tea-related products, including the opportunity to sample Ceylon tea. The booth attracted a diverse array of international visitors, including diplomats, tea aficionados, and media representatives, who relished the chance to savor the various flavors and aromas of Ceylon tea.

На стенде Шри-Ланки было представлено богатое наследие страны в области чая и культуры с изысканной коллекцией чаев и чайных продуктов, включая возможность попробовать чай "Цейлон". Стенд привлек разнообразных международных посетителей, включая дипломатов, любителей чая и представителей средств массовой информации, которые имели уникальную возможность насладиться различными вкусами и ароматами чая "Цейлон".

Addressing the gathering, Sri Lanka's Ambassador and Permanent Delegate to UNESCO, Manisha Gunasekera, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to showcase the esteemed Ceylon tea brand at an international platform alongside teas from Asia, Africa, and beyond. She emphasized the cultural bonds that unite people from diverse backgrounds through the shared tradition and lifestyle of tea consumption, while also highlighting Sri Lanka's commitment to sustainable tea production practices.

Выступая по случаю, посол и постоянный представитель Шри-Ланки при ЮНЕСКО Маниша Гунасекера выразила благодарность за возможность продемонстрировать престижный бренд чая "Цейлон" на международной площадке наряду с чаями из Азии, Африки и других регионов. Она подчеркнула культурные связи, объединяющие людей разных стран и регионов через традиции и образ жизни питья чая, а также отметила новые тенденции в устойчивом производстве чая на Шри-Ланке.

A video presentation at the Sri Lanka booth transported visitors on a mesmerizing journey through picturesque tea estates and trails, illustrating the intricate process of tea cultivation and the artistry involved in tea preparation. Media coverage of Ceylon tea was undertaken by Chinese and Central Asian television channels present at the event, reflecting the strong consumer interest in Ceylon tea among their audiences.

Презентации показали процесс выращивания чая и искусные техники его приготовления. Средства массовой информации охватили чай "Цейлон", представленный на мероприятии, китайские и центральноазиатские телевизионные каналы, так как их аудитории являются страстными потребителями чая "Цейлон".

The event served as a convergence point for tea enthusiasts, facilitating dialogue and collaboration among participating countries, including Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Indonesia, Kenya, Tanzania, Vietnam, and many others.

Мероприятие стало местом встречи для любителей чая, способствуя диалогу и сотрудничеству между странами, включая Азербайджан, Казахстан, Киргизию, Китай, Индонезию, Кению, Танзанию, Вьетнам и многие другие.
