Ceramist, sculptor? When the earth is only the medium to express oneself, it becomes difficult to qualify the artist. Nour Fog is the perfect example of this dilemma. Danish artist born in 1981, graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Aarhus (Det Jyske Kunstakademi) in 2016, Nour Fog presents his Bulle monde, agglomerated or separated black bubbles, suspended or placed on consoles (integral part of the work), sometimes glazed or decorated with a metal mesh that already plays with this idea of the interior of the body (organ and its network of ramifications). The sound universe composed by Jirasol Pereira Ayala reinforces this feeling. Louise Bourgeois for the violent and the intimate, the sculptor Jean Arp for the sobriety, the photography Claude Cahun for research on gender and identity are her references. His personal life is also a motive for creation. My children, frightening at first sight, little naked and pink bodies, placed on plates of cold metal: are they dead, are they alive, fighting for their survival because premature? After a step back, we dare to approach and discover that everyone has their position, everyone has their own expression. The discomfort dissipates a little in front of Heart and ear if Louise Bourgeois or Prune Noury who, too, plays with her body confronted with the disease.
