Arabesques, lapis lazuli and flower sculptures. The Museum of Decorative Arts (Musée des Arts Décoratifs) presents the exhibition "Cartier and the Art of Islam", which opened from October 21 and runs until February 20, 2022 in Paris at 107 Rue Rivoli. The exhibition shows the delightful connection between the House of Cartier and Islamic art, highlighting the influence of Islamic art on the creation of the famous Maison's jewelry and precious objects from the early 20th century to the present day. In the 1910s, Louis Cartier, passionate about the Orient, began to create an exceptional art collection. For his part, his brother Jacques Cartier traveled to India, from where he brought raw materials, in particular precious stones.
