Going through the heavy door of the Artcurial auction house is today traveling to Venice to the Bauer Palazzo hotel guided by the "briccole" adorning the large stakes that delimit the navigable channel, Venetian lanterns in Murano glass attributed to the Maison Segusto (1500 to 2500€ the pair) welcome the traveler. He finds this same work on a 3-arm wall lamp (30,000 to 50,000€ for a pair) in the hall. The guest strolls through the various salons stamped with the seal of a Venetian taste in faded colors as if burned by the sun (set of Casa Padrino or Eichholtz armchairs in gilded metal and covered in pink velvet). The sale also offers many lots of fabrics (tablecloth, curtain, coupon, etc.) from the very beautiful Rubelli and Bevilacqua houses. The customer would surely like to bask in the sofa or one of the armchairs in the living room of the royal suite (600 to 800€ and 400 to 600€ for the pair) with outrageously generous shapes. Many of the pieces of furniture come from the Bussandri house, which has specialized in the restoration and reproduction of antique furniture since 1931. Like any owner of a Palace in Venice, the hotel had to have at least one "trùmo", a piece of furniture with two bodies suitable for large spaces combining marquetry and glass (1500-2000€). Very few things on display for this monster sale of 4200 lots (many having remained on site) but over the catalog it is difficult to resist buying the souvenir which will make him wait until the reopening scheduled for 2025 where the traveler will discover a brand new Hotel Bauer Palazzo.
