On August 5, 2026, Almaty hosted the official press conference dedicated to Kazakhstan's participation in the 73rd edition of the Miss World pageant. During the event, Miss Qazaqstan 2024 Bagym Baltabayeva unveiled the country's national costume, shared the concept behind Kazakhstan's participation, and introduced the cultural mission she will carry to one of the world's most prestigious international beauty competitions.

5 августа 2026 года в Алматы состоялась официальная пресс-конференция, посвященная участию обладательницы титула Miss Qazaqstan 2024 Бағым Балтабаевой в 73-м международном конкурсе Miss World 2026. В рамках встречи были представлены национальный костюм, концепция участия Казахстана и культурная миссия, с которой представительница страны отправится на одну из самых престижных мировых площадок.

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the Miss World competition. For the first time in its history, the jubilee edition will take place in Vietnam, bringing together approximately 130 contestants from countries and territories around the globe. Each delegate will showcase her nation's culture, traditions, and social initiatives in line with the competition's renowned philosophy, Beauty With a Purpose.

В этом году конкурс Miss World отмечает свое 75-летие. Юбилейный сезон впервые пройдет во Вьетнаме и объединит около 130 представительниц стран и территорий мира, которые представят свои государства, национальную культуру и социальные инициативы в соответствии с философией конкурса Beauty With a Purpose(«Красота со смыслом»).

Representing Kazakhstan on the international stage will be Miss Qazaqstan 2024 Bagym Baltabayeva. On August 7, she will depart for Vietnam, where she will spend a month participating in the competition's official program, international cultural events, charitable initiatives, and Miss World ceremonies. Her return to Kazakhstan is scheduled for September 7.

Казахстан на мировой сцене представит Miss Qazaqstan 2024 Бағым Балтабаева. Уже 7 августа национальная представительница отправится во Вьетнам, где в течение месяца будет участвовать в конкурсной программе, международных культурных мероприятиях и официальных событиях Miss World. Возвращение Бағым в Казахстан запланировано на 7 сентября.

Originally from Öskemen, Bagym Baltabayeva graduated from Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University with a degree in Primary Education. Alongside her successful modeling career, she has distinguished herself academically, becoming a prize winner of national pedagogy olympiads and receiving commendations from both the university rector and the Akim of the East Kazakhstan Region.

Бағым Балтабаева родом из Өскемена. Она окончила Восточно-Казахстанский университет имени Сарсена Аманжолова по специальности «Педагог начальных классов». Помимо модельной деятельности, Бағым является призером научных олимпиад в сфере педагогики, а также обладателем похвальных грамот ректора университета и акима Восточно-Казахстанской области.

One of the highlights of Miss World will be the presentation of the national costume. This year, Kazakhstan introduces a concept that reimagines the image of the Kazakh woman through symbols of beauty, spiritual strength, grace, and inner harmony.

"For many years, Kazakh women have often been represented through the image of the legendary warrior Queen Tomyris," says Bagym Baltabayeva. "This time, I want the world to discover another side of our women—their beauty, tenderness, wisdom, and inner balance. The central symbol of my national costume is the swan, representing purity, loyalty, and spiritual strength. The swan is also closely connected with the Caspian Sea, an integral part of Kazakhstan's natural landscape and cultural heritage. Through this image, I hope to convey the elegance, dignity, and rich inner world of the Kazakh woman."

«Если раньше казахских женщин чаще представляли через образ воительницы Томирис, то я хочу показать миру их красоту, нежность, мудрость и внутреннюю гармонию. Основой моего национального костюма стал образ лебедя — символа чистоты, верности и духовной силы. Лебедь также связан с Каспийским морем, которое является неотъемлемой частью природы и культурного наследия Казахстана. Через этот образ я хочу передать утонченность, достоинство и богатый внутренний мир казахской женщины», — говорит Бағым Балтабаева.

The press conference featured key representatives of the Miss Qazaqstan National Beauty Pageant, including Ramina Ibragimova, Director of the Miss Qazaqstan Foundation; Miss Qazaqstan 2024 Bagym Baltabayeva; producer Dilnaz Bakiyeva; and casting director Alima Tuleybayeva.
