Prada Group and UNESCO-IOC Kick Off 2025 with SEA BEYOND Event

On February 13th, Prada Group and UNESCO-IOC hosted the first SEA BEYOND event of 2025 at the historic Maison de l’Océan, Institut Océanographique in Paris.

Guests from all across the globe gathered at the Grand Amphithéâtre for the screening of Kindergarten of the Lagoon, a documentary showcasing the inspiring initiative that connects preschoolers in Venice to the ocean and the Venetian Lagoon, realized as part of the SEA BEYOND project.

The screening was preceded by insightful speeches from Francesca Santoro, Senior Programme Officer at UNESCO-IOC; Karen Evans, Head of the Ocean Science Section at UNESCO-IOC; Clément Lavigne, Director of Ocean Policy at the Oceanographic Institute, Prince Albert I of Monaco Foundation; and Agnès Saal from the UNOC3 Organizing Committee.

The evening concluded with a speech by Ambassador Liborio Stellino, Permanent Representative of Italy to UNESCO.

Each contribution highlighted the crucial role of ocean literacy in promoting a deeper understanding of ocean conservation and global collaboration.
