The plot of the film tells about the adventures of an elderly businessman and his future son-in-law, a simple district police inspector. This movie is the debut of Askar Shafi, a famous composer and sound producer of many films. In this film, he performs in two roles at once, as a director and as a composer.

On the advice of his friend, Bolat Gazizovich goes on a trip to another city, but his daughter's unfortunate fiancé, whom he chased away the day before, turns out to be a fellow traveler. Misha, that is the name of the groom of an ordinary local police officer who dreams of a real job with shootings and arrests of hardened criminals. And, here is the road, one car for two, two fellow travelers who dislike each other and bandits pursuing them. It would seem, what can you expect from such a trip? Gunfights, chases, fights or silence and boredom all the way? All this can be found out by watching the sparkling comedy "Father-in-law Drive".

“I had an idea two years ago. Looking at our wedding comedies, I wanted to do it differently, like an adventure comedy based on the conflict of ages, Soviet thinking, a 60-year-old elderly man with a young man who are going through difficulties together”, - says Yerken Gubashev.

«Задумка у меня появилась года два назад. Захотелось, глядя на наши свадебные комедии, сделать иначе, вроде приключенческой комедии, основанной на конфликте возрастов, советского мышления, 60 летнего пожилого мужчины с молодым человеком, которые вместе переживают трудности», - рассказывает Еркен Губашев.

“I tried to convey the mood I had when I read Yerken Gubashev's script. I think that our film will find a response in the soul of every viewer. Many people recognize themselves or their friends, because the characters of the characters are collective.
