NEWS: Multimedia exhibition "Yermek Serkebayev and his era" will open in Almaty on September 26

Within the framework of the celebration of the City Day from September 26 to October 25, 2018 in Almaty, the exhibition "Yermek Serkebayev and his era" will be held. The venue will be the renovated art-space of the Arman cinema (Dostyk 104 avenue). The multimedia project is conceived as an excursion into the history of music, theater, opera, ballet and cinema of the Kazakh SSR. On the example of the creativity of the legendary singer Yermek Serkebayev and his contemporaries, visitors will see how the culture of the republic developed in the 20-80s of the 20th century.

В рамках празднования Дня города c 26 сентября по 25 октября 2018 года в Алматы пройдёт выставка «Ермек Серкебаев и его эпоха». Местом проведения станет обновлённое арт-пространство кинотеатра «Арман» (проспект Достык 104). Мультимедийный проект задуман как экскурс в историю музыки, театра, оперы, балета и кино Казахской ССР. На примере творчества легендарного певца Ермека Серкебаева и его современников посетители увидят, как развивалась культура республики в 20-80-е годы ХХ века.

In six halls of the art-space "Arman" on the big screens will be shown rare film and photo materials with outstanding singers, actors, ballet dancers, writers, artists, directors and conductors - all who stood at the origins of modern Kazakhstan culture.

В шести залах арт-пространства «Арман» на больших экранах покажут редкие кино- и фотоматериалы с выдающимися певцами, актерами, артистами балета, писателями, поэтами, режиссерами и дирижерами – всеми, кто стоял у истоков современной культуры Казахстана.

"Everyone is destiny and history. History is its own and the history of time and place, in which a person lived and lives... ", said Yermek Serkebayev. It is difficult to overestimate the legacy left by the People's Artist of the USSR Yermek Serkebayev.

«Каждый человек – это судьба и история. История собственная и история времени и места, в котором человек жил и живет...», – говорил Ермек Серкебаев. Сложно переоценить наследие, которое оставил после себя Народный артист СССР Ермек Серкебаев.

To get acquainted with the life stages of the legendary singer and the creative context of that time will be possible with the help of an audio guide, voiced by the son of Yermek Serkebayev, the founder of the group A'studio Baigali Serkebayev. Visitors will be presented with excerpts from the interview of the singer and music. One of the halls is dedicated to the parents and children of Yermek Serkebayev, others - the cultural history of Almaty, the creative work of senior colleagues, influenced the worldview of the singer, work on the creation of operatic images, Kazakh cinema, tours around the world and the pedagogical activity of Yermek Serkebayev. The exhibition will be interesting to visitors of different ages - from schoolchildren and students to the older generation. The event, timed for the celebration of the City Day, was organized by the family of Yermek Serkebayev . The exhibition was supported by the Department of Culture and Archives of Almaty, the asset management company Almaly and the museum of Ahmet and Gaziza Zhubanov.

Познакомиться с этапами жизни легендарного певца и творческим контекстом того времени можно будет при помощи аудиогида, озвученного сыном Ермека Бекмухамедовича, основателем группы A’studio Байгали Серкебаевым. Посетителям будут представлены отрывки из интервью самого певца и музыкальные произведения. Один из залов посвящен родителям и детству Ермека Серкебаева, другие – культурной истории Алматы, творчеству старших коллег, повлиявших на мировоззрение певца, работе над созданием оперных образов, казахскому кинематографу, гастрольным поездкам по миру и педагогической деятельности Ермека Серкебаева. Выставка будет интересна посетителям разного возраста – от школьников и студентов до старшего поколения. Событие, приуроченное к празднованию Дня города, организовано семьёй Ермека Бекмухамедовича. Содействие экспозиции оказали Управление культуры и архивов города Алматы, компания по управлению активами «Алмалы» и музей Ахмета и Газизы Жубановых.
