Dana Almasova to Represent Kazakhstan at the International Pageant “Miss Universe 2025”

A press conference dedicated to Dana Almasova’s participation in the prestigious global beauty pageant “Miss Universe 2025” was held in Almaty. The event gathered media representatives and featured speeches by Aizhan Ruzaeva, Director of the National Contest “Miss Qazaqstan,” the reigning “Miss Universe Qazaqstan 2024” Dana Almasova, and the PR Manager of “Miss Qazaqstan” Kuralai Kurman.
В Алматы состоялась пресс-конференция, посвящённая участию Даны Алмасовой в одном из самых престижных мировых конкурсов красоты — «Miss Universe 2025». На встрече с представителями СМИ выступили директор Национального конкурса «Miss Qazaqstan» Айжан Рузаева, обладательница титула «Miss Universe Qazaqstan 2024» Дана Алмасова и PR-менеджер проекта Куралай Курман.

This year, “Miss Universe” will take place in Thailand, bringing together contestants from more than 100 countries. The grand finale is scheduled for November 21.
В этом году конкурс «Miss Universe» пройдет в Таиланде и соберёт более сотни участниц со всего мира. Финальное шоу состоится 21 ноября.

“The National Contest ‘Miss Qazaqstan’ holds licenses for three of the world’s most prestigious beauty pageants. One of them is ‘Miss Universe,’ founded in 1952, which gathers contestants from over 100 nations on one stage,” shared Aizhan Ruzaeva.

Dana Almasova, the reigning “Miss Universe Qazaqstan 2024,” earned her title through her natural beauty, charisma, and intelligence. In 2024, she became one of the Top 5 finalists of the National Contest “Miss Qazaqstan” and received the honor of representing Kazakhstan on the global stage.

Beyond photoshoots and runway training, Dana’s preparation for the pageant included a series of community activities. She led a masterclass for children from a support center, participated in a city marathon, and joined an event dedicated to Nature Day, where she shared her thoughts on environmental awareness. Continuing her lifelong passion for ecology, Dana will present a social project on environmental responsibility at the competition.
Помимо фотосессий и занятий по дефиле, в период подготовки к конкурсу Дана провела мастер-класс для воспитанниц детского центра поддержки, участвовала в городском марафоне и в мероприятии ко «Дню Природы», где поделилась своими размышлениями о важности защиты экологии. Продолжая близкую с детства тему природы, на международной сцене Дана представит социальный проект, посвящённый экологической ответственности.

Her interest in protecting nature began during her school years, when she wrote a research paper on waste sorting. Today, she aims to draw public attention to the need for sustainable living and dreams of giving Earth a “moment to breathe” from human impact.
Её интерес к защите природы проявился ещё в школьные годы — тогда она написала научную работу о переработке отходов. Сегодня она стремится привлечь внимание к бережному отношению к планете и мечтает, чтобы Земля смогла «отдохнуть» от последствий человеческой деятельности.

The theme of nature also inspired her national costume, which took four months to create. The silk and felt ensemble, designed by the Kazakhstani brand Shimai, features tulips — the emblematic flowers of the Kazakh steppe — as the central motif. “I want my costume to carry meaning, not just beauty. Everyone knows about the lavender fields of France, and I dream that the world will one day speak about our tulips,” said Dana Almasova.
Тема природы легла в основу и национального костюма, над созданием которого трудились четыре месяца. Наряд из шёлка и войлока разработан отечественным брендом Shimai. Центральный элемент образа — тюльпаны, символ казахской степи. «Я хочу, чтобы мой костюм не просто украшал, а нес смысл. Все знают о лавандовых полях Франции, а я мечтаю, чтобы мир заговорил и о наших тюльпанах», — поделилась Дана Алмасова.

The 21-year-old beauty from Kostanay earned her degree from Anadolu University in Turkey. In her spare time, she enjoys taking educational courses and reading to broaden her horizons and become a confident, engaging speaker. Through her participation in “Miss Universe,” Dana hopes to showcase the beauty, talent, and strength of Kazakhstani women while inspiring others to believe in themselves and their potential.
21-летняя Дана родом из Костаная и получила образование в Анатолийском университете в Турции. В свободное время она увлекается обучающими курсами и чтением, чтобы расширять кругозор и быть интересным собеседником. Участвуя в «Miss Universe», Дана стремится показать красоту, талант и силу казахстанских девушек, вдохновляя их верить в себя и свои возможности.

She emphasizes her determination to represent Kazakhstan with dignity and secure a place among the top contestants of the international competition.

Last year, Kazakhstan was represented at “Miss Universe” by 24-year-old Madina Almukhanova, who brought attention to the issue of domestic violence by sharing the story of Saltanat Nukenova.
