Nurlan Konokbayev, a key figure in the development of ballet and classical art in Kazakhstan and beyond, has been appointed the new director of the theatre. The businessman and founder of Konokbayev Group (Kazakhstan) and AlanBars GROUP (USA) has long been known for his achievements in the field of culture, choreography and management, whose activities have long gone beyond one sphere, and his name is associated with high professionalism, a creative approach and the ability to implement large-scale projects. The mission of Konokbaev GROUP is to combine creativity and innovation, revealing the rich culture of Kazakhstan to the world. And thanks to partnership projects in the international arena, Konokbaev GROUP has become a link between Kazakhstani art in the international arena.

Новым директором театра назначен Нурлан Конокбаев - ключевая фигура в развитии балетного и классического искусства в Казахстане и за его пределами. Nurlan Konokbayev was the leading soloist and premier of the State Opera and Ballet Theatre named after M.V. Abay and performed on world stages together with ballet stars, laureate of international competitions and festivals of ballet art, Deputy Chairman of the Union of Choreographers of Kazakhstan.

Нурлан Конокбаев более 12 лет был ведущим солистом и премьером Государственного театра оперы и балета им. Абая и выступал на мировых сценах вместе со звездами балета, лауреат международных конкурсов и фестивалей балетного искусства, Заместитель председателя Союза хореографов Казахстана.

"The theater is a place where emotions, dreams and reality meet. I believe that Almaty Theater can become a center of cultural attraction for everyone who loves art, appreciates its depth and strength. Together with the team, we will do everything to make the theater a bright beacon on the cultural map of the world," said Nurlan Konokbayev.

The appointment of Nurlan Konokbayev promises to give the theater a new impetus for development.
