NEWS: Kazakhstan’s audiences will see the film AIKA at the firstinternational festival “Almaty Film Festival”

In the nearest future the people of Kazakhstan will be the first to see the final version of the film AIKA, which will open in international distribution in the autumn of this year. 

“The film’s director Sergei Dvortsevoi showed a working version of the film at the Cannes film festival. This is a particular festival film, and the spectator should come to the auditorium prepared. Viewers should not expect this to be a film for fans of comedies and popcorn. 

The film is about the life of Kyrgyz migrants in Moscow,who at some point were social outcasts. The film is aimed at changing the attitude towards migrants, and to invite a reflectionon their life,” said Gulnara Sarsenova, the producer of the film AIKA.

Work on the film lasted over six years. The budget is EUR 2.5 million. This social drama is a co-production of five countries: Russia, Kazakhstan, Germany, Poland and China. 

On 19 May 2018 the actress from Kazakhstan, Samal Eslyamova, received the prize of Best Actress at the Cannes film festival fir her role in the film. 

In Kazakhstan the film will open the IFF Almaty Film Festival. 

Spectators can see it for free on 15 September, by invitation.

The festival will take place in the framework of the celebrations of Almaty’s City Day. Almaty Film Festival is organized by the Astana Film Fund, together with the Mayor’s Office (akimat) of Almaty. Its president is the well-known Kazakhstani director Akan Sataev. 

The event will run under the motto “Rapprochement of Cultures”. The film-forum is designed to develop international cooperation of cinematographers and to attract international projects to Almaty. The event will be a fine opportunity for the promotion of the image of the city at an international level as a cultural and touristic centre of the country.

Казахстанцам покажут фильм «Айка» на I Международном кинофестивале Almaty Film Festival.

В ближайшие время жители Казахстана первыми увидят финальную версию фильма «Айка», выход которого в широкий прокат ожидается осенью этого года.

«Режиссер картины Сергей Дворцевой на Каннском кинофестивале показал рабочую версию картины. Это особое фестивальное кино, зритель должен зайти в зал подготовленным. Не нужно думать, что фильм для любителей комедий с попкорном.

Кино про жизнь кыргызских мигрантов в Москве, которые в какой-то момент были изгоями общества. Фильм скорее создан для того, чтобы к мигрантам изменили отношение, задумались об их жизни", — сказала Гульнара Сарсенова, продюсер фильма «Айка».

Работа над фильмом длилась шесть лет. Бюджет составил 2,5 миллиона евро. Эта социальная драма – копродукция пяти стран: России, Казахстана, Германии, Польши и Китая. 

Актриса из Казахстана Самал Еслямова 19 мая  2018 года получила приз Каннского кинофестиваля за лучшую женскую роль в этом фильме.

В Казахстане лента откроет МКФ Almaty Film Festival.

Зрители смогут попасть на нее 15 сентября бесплатно, по приглашению.

Фестиваль пройдет в рамках празднования дня города Алматы. Almaty Film Festival организован Astana Film Fund совместно с акиматом города Алматы. Его президентом является известный казахстанский режиссер Акан Сатаев.

Он пройдет под девизом «Сближение культур». Кинофорум призван развить международное сотрудничество кинематографистов и привлечь международные проекты в Алматы. Событие станет прекрасной возможностью для продвижения имиджа города на международном уровне как культурного и туристического центра страны.
