What links can exist between Critóbal Balenciaga, the creator of the house and Demna, the artistic director since 2015? Thanks to 59 silhouettes, the demonstration is dazzling. So many things bring them together: the taste for the architecture of clothing, the amplification of volumes that increasingly detach it from the body with the exception of the famous pantashoes, the use of new ways (the feathers of the pink dress made by Demna in upcycled plastic), monochrome, the particular attention to the sleeves, collar, waist, back... without forgetting black. They both have the concern to free the silhouette from all constraints.

Their necessarily different imaginations between a man from the early 20th century of Spanish origin and another from the end of the 20th but clearly more from the 21st century of post-Soviet Eastern Europe seem to respond perfectly. From the literal quote to the very small touch, to the complete twist, the coming together of these two visions of fashion, each anchored in its era, is totally fascinating, like the orange suit created by Demna.
