The 28th edition of Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) 2025 has kicked off in Dubai. From June 27 to August 31, the emirate will once again delight residents and visitors with great deals, exciting events and new experiences.

Organized by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Authority (DFRE), the current DSS season promises to be the most eventful in its history. Over the course of 66 days, bargain hunters will enjoy thousands of discounts, raffles, gastronomic promotions and family events. From impressive prizes and sales to exquisite cuisine, comfortable relaxation, entertainment and large-scale concerts, DSS 2025 gives another great reason to spend the summer in Dubai.

This year, Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) is introducing a new shopping concept for the first time — three themed seasons that will set the pace for the entire summer and make your vacation in the city even more eventful and profitable. The festival opens with the Summer Holiday Offers stage — from June 27 to July 17. During this period, guests can expect exclusive offers, promotions for the whole family, and the first round of raffles in Dubai’s largest shopping malls. From July 18 to August 10, the festival’s key moment — the Great Dubai Summer Sale — begins. For three weeks, maximum discounts, special promotions, and record prizes will be available throughout the city. The DSS period ends with the Back to School period — from August 11 to 31. This is an excellent opportunity for families with children to profitably prepare for the new school year: the program includes discounts on school supplies, raffles, and the opportunity to win grants to pay for tuition. Each of the three stages was specially designed taking into account the interests of city residents and tourists. In addition to great shopping, DSS offers entertainment events, concerts with stars, gastronomic festivals, family activities and, of course, meetings with the festival's favorite hero - Modesh.

Фестиваль открывает этап Summer Holiday Offers — с 27 июня по 17 июля. В этот период гостей ждут эксклюзивные предложения, акции для всей семьи и первый раунд розыгрышей в крупнейших торговых центрах Дубая. С 18 июля по 10 августа наступает ключевой момент фестиваля — Great Dubai Summer Sale. В течение трёх недель по всему городу будут действовать максимальные скидки, специальные акции и разыгрываться рекордные призы. Завершает DSS период Back to School — с 11 по 31 августа. New and favorite formats of the festival

This year, one of the most beloved gastronomic projects - Dubai Summer Restaurant Week - returns to the Dubai Summer Surprises program. From July 4 to 13, more than 50 family restaurants across the city will offer a special menu for lunch and dinner at a fixed price. The selection includes both cozy neighborhood establishments and well-known international concepts. This is a great opportunity to get together with friends, organize a family evening or just try something new. The number of seats is limited, so it is recommended to book a table in advance through the OpenTable platform (in the app or on the website).

Among the bright new events of the season is DSS Gahwa Beats - a series of pop-up events dedicated to coffee shop culture. Every Saturday — July 26, August 2, 9, 16 and 23 — parties with DJs, aromatic coffee and the atmosphere of a real Dubai summer will be held in different places of the city. The locations will be announced closer to the date of the event.

Also, for the first time, the DSS is launching the 10 Dirham Dish promotion, which will run from August 1 to 31. The best cafes and restaurants will offer signature dishes for only 10 dirhams. This is a great opportunity to discover new culinary concepts, try unusual flavors and look into gastronomic establishments that you may not have heard of before.

Concerts and music events

Fans of good music will be waiting for the return of the popular music festival Beat The Heat DXB, which will be held from July 4 to 13 at Dubai World Trade Centre. The poster includes the brightest performers of the region in genres from Arabic pop and indie to rap and hip-hop.

More artists and events are also set to be announced soon, making this a truly memorable summer of music in Dubai.

From June 27 to August 31, you can again use the DSS Entertainer app, opening access to more than 7,500 “two for the price of one” offers. For 195 dirhams, users get three months of access to discounts at hotels, restaurants, fitness clubs, spas and attractions throughout the city. The list includes such locations as Wild Wadi, Motiongate Dubai, IMG Worlds of Adventure, as well as restaurants STK, At.mosphere, Shake Shack, Le Pain Quotidien and others.

This summer, sporting events are at the heart of the DSS programme, with a packed series of mall-based runs catering to families, kids and anyone interested in a healthy lifestyle, regardless of age, fitness level or ability. The season kicks off on 28 June at Dubai Hills Mall with the exclusive DSS Run powered by Skechers, promising an energy boost, prizes and a fun morning of movement. The series then continues with Jump Start DXB – RX Run on 6 July at City Centre Mirdif and 3 August at Mall of the Emirates, organised in partnership with Dubai Sports Council and RX Coffee.

Until August 31, you can visit interactive zones, participate in games and take bright photos - a great format for guests of all ages.

No season of Dubai Summer Surprises is complete without the beloved mascots - Modesh and Dana. This summer, they will once again appear on the streets of the city, in schools, shopping malls and at key attractions, filling Dubai with an atmosphere of joy and summer. Guests can expect bright decorations, surprise gifts, collaborations with DAMAS and Bond Café brands, a new collection of souvenirs and interactive entertainment for the whole family at the Modesh Store.
