Maison Rami Kadi — «L’Éventail»:

Maison Rami Kadi unveils its Fall-Winter 2025/26 couture collection L’Éventail at the Zappeion Hall in Athens, Greece — a landmark setting that mirrors the refined elegance of the pieces themselves. The collection draws inspiration from the symbolism and sophistication of the hand fan, once a subtle instrument of mystery and communication, now a bold expression of individuality.

Showcased on July 17, the collection features 41 couture gowns that explore the harmony between structure and movement. Sculptural silhouettes evoke the folds of a fan through architectural pleats, corseted bodices, and flared godets, creating a play between control and fluidity.

Art Deco references appear throughout in the form of radiating beadwork, delicate feathers, and symmetrical metallic embroidery. These details not only echo the fan’s traditional aesthetics but also anchor the collection in timeless elegance.

The color palette moves from warm gold and electric cobalt to dusty rose, ice blue, and deep sienna. Many looks use ombré effects or mirror-shine elements, enhancing the way they catch light and shift in motion — like fans unfolding in midair.

The Zappeion’s neoclassical setting — with its marble colonnades and soft daylight — became an integral part of the presentation. Its serene architecture amplified the contrast between structured design and graceful drape, elevating each gown into an artwork.

“Historically, the fan served as a tool of coded communication for women whose voices were muted by social convention,” says Rami Kadi. “But today, it has become a flamboyant expression of presence and identity.”

“From silence to self-expression — that evolution is incredibly powerful. This collection is my tribute to that journey, and to the women who embody it.”
