In 2026, Yerevan will become the capital of one of the main events in the world of winemaking — the prestigious Concours Mondial de Bruxelles. The 33rd session will be dedicated to tasting red and white wines. The choice of Armenia as the host country highlights its rich winemaking heritage and growing role in the international wine arena.

В 2026 году Ереван станет столицей одного из главных событий в мире виноделия – престижного конкурса Concours Mondial de Bruxelles. 33-я сессия будет посвящена дегустации красных и белых вин. Выбор Армении в качестве страны-хозяйки подчёркивает её богатое винодельческое наследие и растущую роль на международной винной арене. 

Concours Mondial de Bruxelles takes place in a different country or city every year, bringing together leading expert tasters from around the world to evaluate thousands of wines according to strict quality criteria. Following Italy, Croatia, Mexico, Slovakia and China, Armenia will take up the baton of this prestigious international competition in 2026.

Concours Mondial de Bruxelles ежегодно проходит в новой стране или городе, объединяя ведущих экспертов-дегустаторов со всего мира для оценки тысяч вин по строгим критериям качества. Вслед за Италией, Хорватией, Мексикой, Словакией и Китаем эстафету этого авторитетного международного конкурса в 2026 году примет Армения.

A landmark event for Armenian winemaking

Recognized as one of the oldest wine-producing countries in the world, Armenia has experienced a real revival of its wine industry in recent years. Holding the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles in Yerevan will present the richness of local terroirs, rare Armenian grape varieties such as Sev Areni and Voskehat, as well as the dedication and skill of the country's winemakers.

Founded in 1994, the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles is rightfully considered one of the most authoritative wine competitions in the world. Every year, more than 10,000 wines from 50 wine-producing countries are independently assessed by a professional jury, which includes sommeliers, oenologists, industry journalists and buyers.
