La Biennale De Mains De Maîtres Luxembourg 2025: A Celebration of Artistic Craftsmanship and Nature

Created in 2016 at the initiative of Their Royal Highnesses Guillaume and Stéphanie of Luxembourg, the Biennale De Mains De Maîtres Luxembourg has quickly established itself among major international exhibitions dedicated to the defense and promotion of fine crafts. In less than a decade, it has become a key European event celebrating craftsmanship, innovation, and artistic heritage.

Менее чем за десять лет она стала важным европейским событием, объединяющим мастерство, инновации и культурное наследие.

From November 19 to 24, 2025, the Biennale returns for its fifth edition at 19 Liberté — the former Palais de l’Arbed and an emblematic site of Luxembourg City. This year’s theme, Nature Singulière, invites visitors to rediscover their connection with the living world and to celebrate the vital essence of nature. The Czech Republic will be the guest country of honor.

С 19 по 24 ноября 2025 года Биеннале вновь пройдёт в здании 19 Liberté — бывшем Дворце Арбед, одном из знаковых мест Люксембурга. Пятая редакция пройдёт под темой “Уникальная природа”, приглашая гостей переосмыслить связь с живым миром и отпраздновать красоту природы. Почётным гостем Биеннале станет Чехия.

Spanning over 2,500 square meters of exhibition space, the event will welcome nearly 110 artists from Luxembourg and the Czech Republic, including 67 Luxembourgish master artisans representing 25 different métiers. More than 200 rare objects and exceptional works will be on display, from jewelry and ceramics to wood, glass, textile, and metal creations.

На площади более 2500 квадратных метров будут представлены почти 110 художников и ремесленников из Люксембурга и Чехии, включая 67 мастеров из Люксембурга, работающих в 25 различных ремесленных направлениях. As the guest country of honor, the Czech Republic will showcase an exhibition that bridges its rich artisanal traditions with the principles of contemporary art. Developed from the resources of a traditional forge in Slavonice, the installation explores the theme of “a singular nature” through refined interpretations of materials such as glass, wood, ceramics, metal, and fabric.

Чехия, приглашённая страной-гостем, представит экспозицию, объединяющую богатые ремесленные традиции с принципами современного искусства. Созданная на основе ремесленной кузницы в Славонице, инсталляция исследует тему “уникальной природы”, используя благородные материалы — стекло, дерево, керамику, металл и ткань.

Complementing the main exhibition, the Hors Les Murs (“Beyond the Walls”) program will extend the Biennale experience across nine major cultural venues in Luxembourg City, including Mudam, Villa Vauban, the City Museum, MNAHA, the Embassy of the Czech Republic, Cercle Cité, Galerie Liberté, the Camoes Portuguese Cultural Centre, and Luxembourg House.

Each edition of De Mains De Maîtres Luxembourg reminds us that art and craftsmanship are inseparable — rooted in heritage yet always evolving. This year’s focus on nature reinforces the Biennale’s mission: to celebrate the living bond between the artist’s hand, the material, and the world that inspires it.
