The excitement is palpable. What have the sixty dealers from all over the world brought to Paris this year, gathering in the Saint-Germain district — the true epicenter of African, Asian, Oceanic, American, and archaeological arts — for the 24th edition of this prestigious event?

African Art still reigns supreme, especially at Galerie Gradiva, which majestically presents a selection from the personal collection of Canadian dealer Jacques Germain, a great specialist in Kota art. Contemporary art is not forgotten either: Christophe Person showcases Surréalités Africaines with works on paper by Thiémoko Claude Diarria, fantastic creatures by Mouss Black, while Magnin A highlights the powerful terracotta totem sculptures of Seyni Awa Camara. The artistic adventure continues — it certainly did not stop at the beginning of the 20th century.

At Galerie Franck Marcelin, a pestle carved in the shape of an anteater waits for a collector, while at Voyageurs & Curieux, a ceremonial headdress adorned with a tree kangaroo offers a glimpse into Melanesian ritual culture. And this is only a small preview.
