The destiny of Harumi Klossowska de Rola began at the Villa Medicis then in the heart of the Swiss mountains Chalet de la Rossinière between art and nature. The imagination of the daughter of the painter Baltus and the artist Setsuko Ideta, exhibited very early on, brings together her two worlds. Her fascination for the Villa's collection of precious stones led her to create jewelry, first with John Galliano before taking off with the pieces made for the 150th anniversary of the Maison Boucheron. Other collaborations with the big luxury houses will follow. The observation of her jewelry reveals her gifts as a sculptor and her experiments with gold and silver.

A still misty early morning, the tone is set by the double-sided parent – just lit by the “Rereroa” albatrosses (because they are not simple sculptures but also furniture sometimes), deep in a mysterious forest, a walkers may encounter the majestic deer “Ame-no-kaku”, the fawn “Daal”, owls “Athene Noctua” “Laksumi” or the fascinating wolf “Wepwawet”. He will linger in front of the relief of a tree treated with paladium on a background of burnt wood. In a few pieces of l there is all the delicacy of the work whether in the use of materials with its small touches of gold on the antlers of the deer, the palladium which transcribes the bark of a tree, the attitude and the gaze of the wolf. We are simply in a country of extreme sensitivity.
