The 15th Festival of Cultural Diversity in Paris: A Celebration of Global Unity Through Art

From May 13 to 26, 2025, the Cultural Animation Committee Paris 1 held the 15th edition of the Festival of Cultural Diversity under the patronage of the French National Commission for UNESCO, with support from Paris Centre City Hall.

С 13 по 26 мая 2025 года Комитет культурной анимации Paris 1 провёл 15-й Фестиваль культурного разнообразия под патронатом Национальной комиссии Франции по ЮНЕСКО и при поддержке мэрии центра Парижа.

This edition turned Paris into a vibrant stage for global dialogue, hosting exhibitions, concerts, and literary gatherings that celebrated cultural richness and artistic connection.

A Festival of Light and Bridges

The opening exhibition, “Saxony in Paris”, took place at the Carrousel du Louvre. It highlighted the architectural and natural beauty of Saxony, Germany, and was opened in the presence of Prince Alexander von Sachsen.

At the WILDE Art Center, international artists explored identity and emotional transformation. Notable works included Charles-Joseph de Ligne’s poignant photography and Lou Haiyang’s expressive acrylic paintings.

Franco-Swiss cellist Ophélie Gaillard and Brazilian countertenor Luan Góes enchanted the audience with their “Napoli!” program, merging European and South American baroque. The SPARK OF SOUL band lit up the evening of May 24 with R&B classics.

On May 14, the Wallonia-Brussels Center hosted a surprise literary evening. On May 23, historian Nicole Bacharan discussed her book “The Most Resilient of All”. The festival also paid tribute to Ivorian writer Bernard Dadié through film and readings.
