The rising star of contemporary art, Jeanne Vicerial (b. 1981), captivates once again with her haunting black-thread sculptures. Her new exhibition Nymphose at Galerie Templon transforms the space into a sacred ritual where female figures celebrate vitality, fertility, and warrior-like strength.

Молодая художница Жанна Висериаль (род. 1981) продолжает удивлять своими скульптурами из чёрных нитей. Её новая выставка «Нимфоза» в галерее Тэмплон создаёт атмосферу тайного обряда, где женские фигуры прославляют жизненную энергию, плодородие и силу воительниц.

A Ceremony in Thread / Церемония в нитях

The scenography suggests an interrupted rite: armored warriors stand alongside doll-sized figures and pregnant forms. Some are cast in bronze yet retain the delicate essence of threaded sculptures. At the heart of the installation lies an open Venus (inspired by Italian wax Venus votives), her body woven from fine threads that spill across the floor like flowering entrails or cascading hair.

Сценография выставки напоминает прерванный ритуал: фигуры в доспехах соседствуют с кукольными миниатюрами и беременными формами. Некоторые отлиты в бронзе, но сохраняют хрупкость нитяных конструкций. В центре — «Венера» (отсылка к итальянским восковым «Venus votive»), её тело сплетено из нитей, которые растекаются по полу, словно внутренности или волосы, превращённые в цветущий ландшафт.

Despite the monochromatic palette, the exhibition radiates an unexpected serenity. The collective gaze of the figures guarding the Venus creates a spiritual tension, blurring the line between vulnerability and power.
