As the fashion industry increasingly demands practical solutions capable of transforming creative ideas into commercially successful brands, Visa Fashion Week takes the next strategic step. After six successful seasons in Almaty, the Next Designer Award empowered by Visa expands its geography. For the first time, the Grand Final of the seventh season will take place in Tashkent.

Next Designer Award empowered by Visa is more than a competition—it is a long-term initiative dedicated to transforming the fashion industry across Central Asia. The project has created a comprehensive ecosystem that supports the next generation of designers, offering far more than a platform for creative expression. It provides practical guidance and professional opportunities from the earliest concepts to international market entry.

Next Designer Award empowered by Visa — это гораздо больше, чем конкурс. Это долгосрочная инициатива, направленная на трансформацию модной индустрии Центральной Азии. Проект формирует полноценную экосистему поддержки нового поколения дизайнеров, предлагая не просто площадку для творческого самовыражения, а комплексную профессиональную помощь на пути от первых эскизов до выхода на международный рынок.

The winner receives a US$10,000 grant from Visa, providing the financial foundation to launch or scale a fashion brand. Yet the value of the program extends well beyond funding. Finalists are given the opportunity to showcase their collections during Visa Fashion Week, receive mentorship from leading industry professionals, refine their brand identity, and gain international media exposure through publications such as Vogue and ELLE. The project also facilitates commercial integration by introducing designers to concept stores and premium retail spaces.

The scale of Next Designer Award empowered by Visa speaks for itself. Across six seasons, the competition has brought together participants from five Central Asian countries, attracted more than 400 applications every season, and helped launch the careers of over 80 emerging designers.

The project's next stage of development became the central topic of a press conference held on 4 July at the Namuna Art Residence, where members of the media and fashion industry insiders learned firsthand about the program's expanding role in integrating emerging designers into the professional business environment.

The season will culminate on 21 August 2026 at the Gallery of Fine Arts of Uzbekistan, where the Grand Final will unfold alongside a large-scale exhibition conceived as a living dialogue between the past, present, and future of Central Asian fashion.

Кульминацией сезона станет финал, который пройдет 21 августа 2026 года в Галерее изобразительного искусства Узбекистана. Центральным событием вечера станет масштабная выставка, задуманная как живой диалог между прошлым, настоящим и будущим моды Центральной Азии.

The exhibition will showcase landmark works created by graduates of previous seasons, illustrating their professional journey from promising newcomers to designers shaping the region's contemporary aesthetic. Through their collections, participants explore cultural identity, reinterpret Central Asia's rich heritage, and address themes of sustainability and environmental responsibility. Fashion thus becomes more than a commercial product—it evolves into a powerful medium for artistic and social expression.

Экспозиция объединит знаковые работы выпускников предыдущих сезонов, демонстрируя их профессиональный путь — от начинающих авторов до дизайнеров, формирующих современную эстетику региона. В своих коллекциях участники исследуют культурную идентичность, переосмысливают наследие Центральной Азии и обращаются к вопросам экологии и устойчивого развития. Таким образом мода выходит за пределы потребления, превращаясь в мощный инструмент художественного и общественного высказывания.

Dedicated exhibition spaces will present the collections of 15 finalists selected from hundreds of applications. During the opening, each designer will showcase their competition looks on live models before presenting and defending the creative concept behind the collection to the jury.

На персональных стендах будут представлены коллекции 15 финалистов, отобранных из сотен заявок. В день открытия молодые дизайнеры представят свои конкурсные образы на моделях, а также проведут защиту концепций своих коллекций перед профессиональным жюри.
