June 17, the world stars of Public Art will come to the capital - the founder of eco-art - the reclamation sculptor Steven Siegel and LUZINTERRUPTUS - an anonymous art group that specializes in large-scale installations and light performances from recycled materials.

The group became known to the general public after a series of installations of Literature VS Traffic. Photos of the book «rivers» from Melbourne and Toronto became a hit of social networks. Steven Siegel and LUZINTERRUPTUS will visit Astana within the framework of Astana Art Fest, where they will present their new conceptual works dedicated to the dominance of plastic, which can be called, without exaggeration, the Main Garbage of our civilization. 500 years - about this figure voiced by environmentalists - is necessary for the decomposition of plastic. 40% of the plastic waste is made up of plastic bottles. For large-scale installations, a huge amount of plastic bottles is required, and the organizers of the festival ask the Astana residents to help with the material for the action - the city with your help will get unique art objects and get rid of garbage!

17 июня в столицу приедут мировые звезды Public Art – основатель эко-арта – рекайсл-скульптор Стивен Сигель и LUZINTERRUPTUS – анонимная художественная группа, которая специализируется на масштабных инсталляциях и световых перформансах из вторичного сырья. Широкой публике группа стала известна после серии инсталляций Literature VS Traffic. Фотографии книжных «рек» из Мельбурна и Торонто стали хитом социальных сетей. Астану Стивен Сигель и LUZINTERRUPTUS посетят в рамках Astana Art Fest, где представят свои новые концептуальные работы, посвященные засилью пластика, который можно без преувеличений назвать Главным Мусором нашей цивилизации. 500 лет – примерно такую цифру озвучивают экологи – необходимо для разложения пластика. 40 % пластиковых отходов составляют пластиковые бутылки. Для масштабных инсталляции требуется огромное количество литровых пластиковых бутылок, и организаторы фестиваля просит астанчан помочь с материалом для акции – город с вашей помощью получит и уникальные арт-объекты, и избавится от мусора!
