Window dressing contest

In May this year the Del Papa restaurant chain and Etage Group organized a joint competition of window dressing among students of the Arts Academy named by Zhurgenov.

The purpose of the project is to support the students of the faculty of design and to give them the opportunity to realize their own project from concept to practical implementation in the framework of a specific task. The basis for the design was the theme of «Journey». Finalists inspired by this theme, offered their concept for window dressing. The winner was Shynar Matzhanova with the concept of «Hats». Projects finalists received monetary encourage and materialization of their ideas. Their installation will decorate the Del Papa restaurant at the intersection of Furmanov and Kabanbai Batyr in Almaty and the Del Papa restaurant on Abay street in Astana.

В мае этого года сеть ресторанов Del Papa и Etage Group организовали совместный конкурс по оформлению витрин среди студентов Академии Искусств им. Жургенова. Цель проекта - поддержать студентов факультета дизайна и дать им возможность реализовать собственный проект от идеи до практического воплощения в рамках конкретного задания. Основой для дизайна стала тема: «Путешествие». Финалистки конкурса, вдохновившись тематикой, предложили свои концепции для оформления витрин. Победительницей стала Шынар Матжанова с концепцией «Шляпы». Все проекты финалистов получили как денежное поощрение, так и материализацию идей - инсталляции будут украшать ресторан Del Papa на перекрестке Фурманова и Кабанбай Батыра в Алма-Ате, а также ресторан Del Papa на улице Абая в Астане.
