Haider Ackermann appointed as New Creative Director of Tom Ford

Tom Ford

Haider Ackermann, now 53 years old, has been named the new creative director of Tom Ford. Born in Colombia, he was adopted by a French family and spent his formative years in Ethiopia, Chad, and Algeria. He honed his craft at the prestigious Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, where his talent stood out, catching the eye of fashion icons like Karl Lagerfeld, who once saw him as a potential successor.

While his future at Chanel remains uncertain, Ackermann has already made his mark in the fashion industry, collaborating with brands like Berluti, Fila, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Canada Goose. Now, with Tom Ford under his creative vision, the fashion world is eagerly anticipating how he will shape the future of the iconic brand.
