Visa Launches Agentic Ready Program in Kazakhstan, Accelerating the Development of Agentic Commerce

Today, Visa, a global leader in digital payments, announced the launch of its global Agentic Ready program across the Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa (CEMEA) region, which includes Kazakhstan. The initiative was created to support the payments ecosystem in the era of agentic commerce.

The first phase of Visa Agentic Ready is designed to help issuers prepare for the next generation of payments by offering a structured framework for testing, validating, and understanding agent-initiated transactions within a fully functional controlled environment. The program enables issuers to see in practice how AI agents can complete end-to-end transactions on behalf of users while evaluating their readiness to deploy agentic commerce solutions without compromising the high standards of security, control, and trust that define the Visa network.

Первая фаза Visa Agentic Ready поможет повысить готовность эмитентов к платежам новой эры, предлагая структурированный подход к тестированию, проверке и пониманию транзакций, инициированных агентами, в полнофункциональной контролируемой среде. Программа позволит эмитентам на практике увидеть, как ИИ-агенты осуществляют полноценные транзакции от имени пользователей, а также оценить свою готовность к развертыванию агентской коммерции, сохраняя высокий уровень безопасности, контроля и доверия, на которых основана сеть Visa.

“We are seeing significant demand for innovation across the CEMEA region, alongside a clear understanding of the importance of introducing new payment scenarios in a secure and scalable way. As artificial intelligence continues to play a greater role in commerce, issuers will become essential in strengthening consumer trust,” said Godfrey Sullivan, Senior Vice President and Head of Products and Solutions for Visa in Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Visa Agentic Ready leverages key Visa network capabilities, including tokenization, digital identity, and advanced risk and control management tools, to ensure reliable agent-initiated payments across a wide range of use cases. The initiative builds on Visa Intelligent Commerce, a portfolio of Visa solutions and programs aimed at creating and scaling trusted AI-powered commerce experiences.

From readiness to real-world scalability

The large-scale adoption of agentic commerce requires coordinated efforts across the entire payments ecosystem. Visa has already engaged more than thirty partners from across the CEMEA region in the Agentic Ready program, with additional participants expected to join throughout the year. In Kazakhstan, Bank CenterCredit became the first issuing bank to participate in Visa Agentic Ready.

Для масштабного внедрения агентской коммерции необходима координация усилий всех участников платежной экосистемы. Visa уже привлекла к программе Agentic Ready более тридцати партнеров из региона CEMEA, и их круг будет расширяться в течение нынешнего года. В Казахстане первым банком-эмитентом, присоединившимся к Visa Agentic Ready, стал Банк ЦентрКредит.

Thanks to its fully functional controlled testing environment, the program allows issuers to evaluate how agent-initiated payments perform under real-world conditions, helping them better prepare for live deployment of these payment scenarios.

With this initiative, Visa is supporting the transition toward intelligent programmable commerce, where trusted payment credentials and network capabilities enable secure and flexible payments aligned with user intent, context, and preferences.
