Magnificence of Russian Painting of the 19th–20th Centuries: Masterpieces from the Vladimir Peshich Collection

From May 21 to June 30, 2026, the Russian Orthodox Spiritual and Cultural Center in Paris celebrated its 10th anniversary with the exhibition “Magnificence of Russian Painting of the 19th–20th Centuries: Masterpieces from the Vladimir Peshich Collection.” The exhibition became a remarkable cultural event, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in the richness and evolution of Russian art across nearly one and a half centuries.

С 21 мая по 30 июня 2026 года Российский духовно-культурный православный центр в Париже отметил своё 10-летие выставкой «Великолепие русской живописи XIX–XX веков. Шедевры из Собрания Владимира Пешича». Экспозиция стала значимым культурным событием, пригласив гостей погрузиться в богатство и эволюцию русского искусства на протяжении почти полутора столетий.

The exhibition was conceived as a visual journey through 150 years of Russian artistic history. Eighteen exceptional works were presented, representing twelve major movements of Russian art from the 19th and 20th centuries, including Realism, Impressionism, Post-Impressionism, Russian Modern, Neo-Russian Style, Cubism, Cubo-Futurism, Suprematism, Constructivism, Socialist Realism, Nonconformism, and Expressionism.

Экспозиция была задумана как визуальное путешествие сквозь 150 лет истории русского искусства. На выставке были представлены 18 выдающихся произведений, отражающих двенадцать ключевых направлений русского искусства XIX–XX веков, среди которых реализм, импрессионизм, постимпрессионизм, русский модерн, неорусский стиль, кубизм, кубофутуризм, супрематизм, конструктивизм, соцреализм, нонконформизм и экспрессионизм.

Each artwork carried significant artistic value, bringing together masterpieces and creations by renowned Russian artists. Beyond its aesthetic dimension, the exhibition also offered an educational perspective, introducing visitors not only to the diversity of Russian artistic movements, but also to important moments in the history of Russia itself.

Каждое произведение обладало высокой художественной ценностью, объединяя шедевры и работы знаменитых русских художников. Помимо эстетической составляющей, выставка имела и просветительскую миссию, знакомя публику не только с многообразием художественных направлений России, но и с важнейшими моментами российской истории.

One of the most remarkable aspects of the exhibition was that all paintings were shown to the public for the very first time. This exclusivity added a special sense of discovery and rarity to the project, making the exhibition particularly anticipated among collectors, art historians, and admirers of Russian culture.

Одной из самых примечательных особенностей выставки стало то, что все картины были впервые представлены широкой публике. Эта исключительность придала проекту особое ощущение открытия и редкости, сделав выставку особенно ожидаемой среди коллекционеров, искусствоведов и поклонников русской культуры.

The exhibition take place in the Branly Exhibition Hall on the first floor of the center and welcomes visitors daily from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Set in the heart of Paris, the event highlighted the enduring dialogue between Russian cultural heritage and the international art world.

Выставка проходит в выставочном зале Бранли на первом этаже центра и открыта для посетителей ежедневно с 14:00 до 19:00. В самом сердце Парижа проект подчеркнул продолжающийся диалог между русским культурным наследием и международным художественным сообществом.
