Gorilla Winter Jungle 8: два дня экстрима, музыки и живых эмоций

The much-anticipated Gorilla Winter Jungle 8 sports and music festival took place on April 5–6 at the Shymbulak Mountain Resort, once again proving that extreme sports and modern music can unite, inspire, and energize people across borders.

Спортивно-музыкальный фестиваль Gorilla Winter Jungle 8, прошедший 5–6 апреля на ГК «Шымбулак», в очередной раз доказал, что экстремальный спорт и современная музыка могут вдохновлять, объединять и заряжать людей по всему миру.

This eighth season was the largest in the project’s history. Athletes from five countries – Finland, Switzerland, Poland, Russia, and Kazakhstan – competed across disciplines. For the first time, the music stage hosted a Grammy Award-winning artist: MC Flowdan from the UK.

Восьмой сезон стал самым масштабным в истории фестиваля: участие приняли спортсмены из пяти стран – Финляндии, Швейцарии, Польши, России и Казахстана. А музыкальная сцена впервые приняла обладателя премии «Грэмми» – британского исполнителя MC Flowdan.

The competitions were electric: Big Air, Jibbing, Jungle Cross, and the new Kings of the Jungle category kept spectators on edge. Yaroslav Lenchevskiy (snowboard) and Max Senkevich (ski) were crowned Kings of the Jungle, impressing judges with flawless technique and bold performance.

Зрелищные заезды в дисциплинах Big Air, Jibbing, Jungle Cross и новой категории Kings of the Jungle держали зрителей в напряжении. Победителями новой категории стали Ярослав Ленчевский (сноуборд) и Макс Сенкевич (лыжи), удивив жюри точностью и уверенностью.

"I'm thrilled to be here for the third time and finally win. I’ll definitely come back next season – it’s a world-class competition with an incredible vibe," said Yaroslav Lenchevskiy.

«Безумно рад быть здесь в третий раз и наконец-то победить. Обязательно вернусь в следующем сезоне — это соревнования мирового уровня с невероятной атмосферой», – поделился Ярослав Ленчевский.

Jibbing winners were Olesya Lomakina (ski) and Azamat Valeev (snowboard), while Jungle Cross champions included Sergey Danov and Anel Sufashova (ski), and Oleg Panin and Valeria Badenko (snowboard).

В Jibbing победили Олеся Ломакина (лыжи) и Азамат Валеев (сноуборд), в Jungle Cross сильнейшими стали Сергей Данов и Анель Суфашова (лыжи), Олег Панин и Валерия Баденко (сноуборд).

Big Air amateur champions were Martin Eunapu (ski), Daniil Klyuev (snowboard), and Olesya Lomakina again stood out among the women. Among professionals, Artem Afanasyev (ski) and Gleb Sinyakov (snowboard) took the top honors.

В Big Air среди любителей победили Мартин Эунапу (лыжи), Даниил Клюев (сноуборд), а среди женщин снова блистала Олеся Ломакина. Среди профи лидировали Артём Афанасьев (лыжи) и Глеб Синяков (сноуборд).

Headlining the festival was East London’s grime legend, MC Flowdan. Known globally for his hit "Rumble" with Skrillex & Fred Again.., he delivered an explosive live set that had the crowd jumping to the bassline.

Local acts brought their flavor too – from DJ sets to rap performances, including Kazakhstan’s own Dayinball. For two days, music echoed through the mountains, blending perfectly with the thrill of each stunt and spin.

Не отставали и местные артисты: диджейские сеты и живые выступления, в том числе казахстанского рэп-трио Dayinball, два дня звучали в горах, создавая идеальный саундтрек каждому прыжку и трюку.
