For the first time in the world, an extreme slackliner passed the line over the ancient Tethys Ocean in Kazakhstan

Впервые в мире экстремал-слэклайнер прошел по стропе над древним океаном Тетис в Казахстане

The famous Estonian slackliner Jaan Roose was the first who managed to walk along the line between the two “fangs” of the famous Kazakhstani tract “Bozzhyra”, which was covered by the ancient Tethys ocean millions of years ago.

Известный эстонский слэклайнер Яан Роозе стал первым, кому удалось пройти по стропе между двумя «клыками» знаменитого казахстанского урочища «Бозжыра», которое миллионы лет назад покрывал древний океан Тетис.

The athlete covered a distance of half a kilometer at a height of two hundred meters. Filming took place in 50-degree heat and strong winds.

Спортсмен преодолел дистанцию в полкилометра на высоте двухсот метров. Съемки проходили при50-градусной жаре и сильнейшем ветре.

“Bozzhyra has become a challenge for me. This is one of the most complex, but at the same time beautiful projects of mine. When I saw the photos of Bozzhyra, I was amazed. And when I got here, I was stunned by the unearthly beauty of this place. The fact that there was an ocean here excites the imagination. I came to Kazakhstan for the first time, and I really liked the people - sincere, smart and professionals in their field,” Jaan said.

«Бозжыра стала вызовом для меня. Это один из самых сложных, но в то же время и красивых моих проектов. Когда я увидел фотографии Бозжыры, был поражен. А когда оказался здесь, обомлел от неземной красоты этого места. Тот факт, что здесь был океан, будоражит воображение. Я приехал в Казахстан первый раз, и мне очень понравились люди – душевные, умные и профессионалы своего дела», – рассказал Яан.

The film crew spent five days in the Mangistaut region, where the tract is located, to shoot a video that will reveal this unique place in a new way.

Съемочная команда провела в Мангистаутской области, где находится урочище, пять дней, чтобы снять ролик, который раскроет это уникальное место по-новому.

One of the main tasks of the group was to respect the unique nature of the tract and comply with all environmental requirements for this historical place.

Одной из главных задач группы было бережное отношение к уникальной природе урочища и соблюдение всех экологических требований к этому историческому месту.

“Today, the Mangystau region is one of the priority areas of tourism in Kazakhstan. The region broke into the top five in terms of the number of foreign tourists this year. Mangistau is able to become the center of world film tourism, and we are always ready to support initiatives that reveal the extraordinary beauty of our places with the most careful attitude towards them,” said Talgat Amanbayev, Chairman of the Board of JSC NC Kazakh Tourism.

In the distant past, the Great Silk Road passed through Mangistau, and one of the ledges resembling a fortress is even depicted on a banknote of the Republic of Kazakhstan with a face value of one thousand tenge.

В далеком прошлом по Мангистау проходил Великий шелковый путь, а один из уступов, напоминающих крепость, даже изображен на банкноте Республики Казахстан номиналом тысяча тенге.

“This is just a fantastic place,” Jaan shared his impressions. “I am glad that I managed to visit here and see this unique location with my own eyes, as well as combine the physical capabilities of a person with the beauty of nature.”

«Это просто фантастическое место, – поделился впечатлениями Яан. – Рад, что удалось побывать здесь и воочию увидеть эту уникальную локацию, а также соединить физические возможности человека с красотой природы».

Jaan got into slacklining 12 years ago. He is called an athlete with nerves of steel, because when walking on a loosely stretched sling, the athlete keeps his balance solely due to the tilt of the body and arms, and a gust of wind can easily take the sling out from under the leg, which is fraught with loss of balance.

Яан увлекся слэклайном 12 лет назад. Его называют атлетом со стальными нервами, ведь при хождении по слабо натянутой стропе спортсмен держит равновесие исключительно за счет наклона корпуса и рук, а порыв ветра может легко увести стропу из-под ноги, что чревато потерей баланса.

The athlete is a three-time world champion, holder of numerous world records and a conqueror of the most unusual locations. Several times he worked as a stuntman in Hollywood film projects and took part in Madonna's concert tour, for which he did slackliner numbers and taught the singer how to walk on a sling.

Спортсмен является трехкратным чемпионом мира, обладателем многочисленных мировых рекордов и покорителем самых необычных локаций. Несколько раз он работал каскадером в голливудских кинопроектах и принимал участие в концертном туре Мадонны, для которого делал слэклайнер-номера и обучал певицу ходьбе по стропе.
