Les Salons Art Capital, Le Salon des Indépendants

Created in 1884, Le Salon des Indépendants celebrated its 140th anniversary in 2024. Initially called the "Salon des Refusés," it was a place where artists challenged academic painting principles and norms. Despite its once unflattering name, this salon became a platform for some of the greatest names in modern art, whose works now grace the world's most prestigious museums. Its motto remains: "No jury, no prize." Today, it welcomes artists from more than thirty countries and features over 450 participants.
