The first Barista Cup-2024 competition has concluded in Almaty, bringing together participants from cities across Kazakhstan, including Almaty, Astana, Karaganda, Aktobe, Aktau, Atyrau, Shymkent, Taraz, and Petropavlovsk. A total of 94 baristas registered, with 83 competing to showcase their skills and creativity.

В Алматы завершился первый конкурс Barista Cup-2024, который собрал участников со всех уголков Казахстана: Алматы, Астаны, Караганды, Актобе, Актау, Атырау, Шымкента, Тараза и Петропавловска. Всего зарегистрировалось 94 бариста, и 83 из них приняли участие, продемонстрировав своё мастерство и креативность.

The competition was held in three stages. The first stage involved a coffee quiz, after which 24 participants advanced. In the second stage, baristas prepared 12 cappuccinos with specified latte art. The final stage featured individual performances where contestants prepared drinks for the judges and explained their recipes.

Конкурс проходил в три этапа. Первый этап был посвящён кофейной викторине, по итогам которой 24 участника продолжили борьбу. Во втором этапе участники готовили 12 капучино с заданным латте-артом. Финальный этап включал индивидуальные выступления, где участники готовили напитки для судей и рассказывали о своих рецептах.

The head of the organizing committee, Dmitry Lyapin, stated that this was the first but certainly not the last competition: "Barista Cup has become an important platform for knowledge exchange, and we hope this event will become annual, promoting the development of coffee culture in Kazakhstan."

Глава оргкомитета Дмитрий Ляпин отметил, что это первый, но далеко не последний конкурс: «Barista Cup стал важной платформой для обмена опытом, и мы надеемся, что это событие станет ежегодным и будет способствовать развитию кофейной культуры в Казахстане».

The winner, Rauan Zhumazhanov, shared that his victory will help his sister with her upcoming wedding. The second place went to Margarita Ermolova, a latte art specialist, and the third place was awarded to Zhanibek Slavyan.

Победителем стал Жумажанов Рауан, который поделился, что его победа поможет сестре с предстоящей свадьбой. Второе место заняла Маргарита Ермолова, специализирующаяся на латте-арте, а третье место досталось Жанибеку Славяну.

The competition was a true celebration for all participants and guests, with organizers confident that this is just the beginning for Barista Cup.
