«The Neon Demon» is a psychological horror film directed by Nicolas Winding Refn, starring Elle Fanning, Christina Hendricks and Keanu Reeves.

The film competed for the Palme d'Or at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. «True beauty is best wealth», - says the designer arguing with him a model that boasts a number of plastic surgeries. And Jesse is 16-year-old unfortunate beauty that fate has thrown on an arbitrariness. Underage orphans, new city, violent neighbors and empty purse - all met on the way a young model. «I do not know how to dance, sing, too, but I'm pretty! », - Confidently declares Jesse to photographer, - «So, you need to earn by appearance! ». It should be noted that it is - a standard set of thoughts provincial beauties. However, in the way of beginners always have successful competitors. Jesse charms all by her deep eyes, without excluding any of the hero of the film. In the middle of the film there is a sharp turn of events, it was at that moment when Jesse is swift step to success, climbing higher skilled opponents. It appears that the brutality of fashion business, when at the age of 25+ you have to move away and pass ahead «fresh» young people. The successful trio of players, namely, the three divas whom Jesse stepped into success, decided to get rid of the «Qween». Shoot? Too easy. It is better to eat. And most importantly - eat those horrible eyes, which falls in love each counter. The film is hypnotic: alluring bodies, mirrors, red lights and long, put to sleep music. It should be noted that this is red thread of director’s concept and brutal history of the models - a suitable plot. The film took two hours my attention completely. «Неоновый демон» - триллер, режиссер Николас Виндинг Рефн, получил «Золотую пальмовую ветвь» на Канском кинофестивале. В главных ролях: Эль Фаннинг, Кристина Хендрикс и Киану Ривз. «Истинная красота – лучшее богатство», - говорит дизайнер спорящей с ним модели, которая неудачно хвастается количеством сделанных операций. А Джесси – 16-летняя несчастная красавица, которую судьба бросила на произвол. Несовершеннолетняя сирота, новый город, жестокие соседи и пустой кошелек – все это встретилось на пути юной модели. «Танцевать я не умею, петь тоже, но я симпатичная!», - уверенно заявляет Джесси знакомому фотографу, - «Значит, нужно зарабатывать внешностью!». Хочется отметить, что это - стандартный набор мыслей провинциальной красавицы. Однако, на пути у новичков всегда есть успешные конкуренты. Джесси влюбила в свои глубокие глаза всех, не исключая ни одного героя фильма. В середине фильма происходит резкий поворот событий, именно на том моменте, когда Джесси стремительным шагом идет к успеху, поднимаясь выше опытных соперниц. Здесь и проявляется та жестокость модельного бизнеса, когда в возрасте 25+ тебе приходится отходить и пропускать «свежую» молодежь. Успешная тройка игроков модельного бизнеса, а именно три дивы, которых Джесси перешагнула в успехе, решили избавиться от «дамки». Застрелить? Слишком легко. Лучше съесть. А главное – съесть эти ужасные глаза, в которых влюбляется каждый встречный. Фильм гипнотизирует: манящие тела, зеркала, алые фонари и долгая, погружающая в сон музыка. Хочется отметить, что именно в этом красная нить замысла режиссера, а жестокая история моделей – подходящий сюжет. Фильм на два часа приковал мое внимание полностью.
